What We Believe—
God loves you and sent His Son Jesus that we all might be forgiven of our sins. We exist to make Him known and to share His love. Many spend their lives trying to earn God’s approval by following rules, attending religious services, or being a good person. The truth is that the only way to a fulfilling life and an eternal future in heaven is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Good Shepherd Fellowship Values:
God: We acknowledge the one true God revealed from the Holy Bible–
- God the Father
- God the Holy Spirit, Who dwells in us
- God the Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Head of the church
Bible: We believe the Holy Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired and infallible Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of mankind, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
Preaching & Teaching: We are committed to the clear and accurate preaching and teaching of the Holy Bible in a way that ministers grace and urges obedience. We preach and teach with integrity and authority so that seekers find Christ and believers mature in Him.
Fellowship: We value fellowship that is both relational and sacrificial with diverse opportunities that encourage people to engage in biblical community where loving relationships permeate every aspect of church life.
Worship: We acknowledge and declare God’s supreme value and worth in our personal lives and together as a body of believers.
Family/Parents/Children: We value the family as established by God. We provide an environment that strengthens marriages, single parents, single adults, youth, and children.
Salvation: We value the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection which provides the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. Salvation is a gift of God by grace thru faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Evangelism*: We believe Christ commanded us to go and preach the gospel. We value all people who haven’t heard or have not embraced the gospel and will use every available Christ honoring means to pursue, win, and disciple them.
Prayer*: We believe that God desires His people to pray and that He hears and answers prayer. We value prayer as God’s established means of our communicating with Him. We seek to have Good Shepherd Fellowship characterized with reliance on prayer.
